LIF Advances UP2030 Vision at the 3rd Annual Construction and Investment Conference

On October 3, 2024, the Law and Internet Foundation (LIF), a key consortium partner of the UP2030 project, joined industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators at the 3rd Annual Construction and Investment Conference, held at the Sofia Event Center. This premier event, known for addressing key trends in construction, smart city innovations, and sustainable investments, was a prime platform for discussing how cities can transition towards climate-neutral solutions.

The conference emphasized critical topics, including decarbonization and energy efficiency in alignment with EU regulations, continuous innovation, public-private partnerships, and the importance of financial incentives in fostering green urban infrastructure. LIF’s participation was crucial, contributing to discussions on how smart, sustainable technologies can reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions while addressing urban infrastructure improvements.

The UP2030 project, in which LIF plays a pivotal role, was also highlighted during the event. The project focuses on transforming urban environments by creating net-zero neighborhoods and aligning urban planning with long-term sustainability goals. Through active collaboration, the UP2030 consortium works to integrate green innovations and sustainable practices into city development plans, ensuring they meet future climate targets.

LIF’s involvement in both the conference and the UP2030 project underscores its commitment to driving forward sustainable urban development. As we continue to collaborate on these crucial initiatives, our focus remains on fostering resilient, eco-friendly communities and ensuring cities are prepared for the environmental challenges ahead.
