UP2030 was prominently featured at the recent World Urban Forum (WUF), where partners shared key project insights, frameworks, and tools to foster sustainable, resilient urban development. This high-impact session welcomed over 50 participants and provided a platform for discussing UP2030’s transformative strategies and resources.

A central focus was the 5UP Approach, a comprehensive strategy for urban transformation. Attendees also had access to the first version of the 5UP Workbook, an interactive guide to support cities in implementing UP2030 principles locally. This resource will be refined with ongoing feedback from cities involved in the project.

wo key frameworks presented included the updated City Resilience Framework-  by R-Cities and ARUP and applied in Milan’s UP2030 pilot- and the Spatial Justice Framework, introduced by TUD. In an interactive session, participants actively applied this framework using visions from UP2030 cities, sparking engaging discussions on equitable urban development.
