
Save the date: Wednesday, 11th February 2026, URNET and UP2030 partners proudly launch a free webinar introducing the Online Training Program “How to Build Carbon Neutral, Resilient and Just Cities”!
It is an opportunity to explore more about the program’s content and engage directly with its authors. of This Massive Open Online Course combines theoretical foundation in Carbon Neutrality, Urban Resilience, Spatial Justice...etc., with technical training including over 25 tools for urban planning and decision-making and showcasing 11 European pilot cities as case studies. City’s practitioners are offered 12 hours of flexible study time, over 100 comprehensive video and five structural modules following the 5UP approach, the methodology designed and implemented in the UP2030 project: UP-Dating, UP-Skilling, UP-Grading, UP-Scaling, and UP-Taking. This unique framework provides a progressive learning pathway.
Funded by the European Commission and developed within the framework of the UP2030 project, this initiative supports the broader European Green Deal and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. It contributes to the collective mission of enabling cities to accelerate their transition toward sustainable, inclusive, and low carbon futures.
Upon completion, participants will gain both conceptual insights and practical proficiency to analyse urban challenges, formulate effective strategies and design measurable actions contributing to carbon neutral and resilient urban development. Furthermore, learners will also evaluate their newly acquired skills through an final assessment and, upon successful completion, obtain a certificate of achievement recognizing their participation.
