Milano is the capital of Lombardy region with a polulation of approx. 1.353.000 inhabitants. Milan will test for the first time at a neighbourhood scale, the multi-dimensional analysis of the City Resilience Index tool. Through this process, the city will develop a robust monitoring and evaluation system that will be replicated in all similar regeneration projects of the city.
Münster is a city with appoximately 319,000 inhabitants with the aim to become climate neutral by 2030 and to adapt to the impacts of climate change. Therefore the municipal Climate Office coordinate and implement different projects and concepts.

Granollers is the capital of the Vallès Oriental county and is located 28km north of Barcelona. It has a population close to 62,000 inhabitants and covers an area of almost 15 km2. Granollers is located next to the Montseny Natural Park and the subasin of the Congost river. The goals to be achieved through UP2030, as a pilot city, will be focused on the future sector around the Rail Station towards the creation of a low carbon district by identifying the right balance between green and grey infrastructure while maintaining inclusivity and equity and spatial justice.
