Event Schedule

Cities In Action

Date: 3 November 2025
Location: Barcelona, Spain

Your hosts:

UP2030 is a Horizon Europe Project that aims to support cities in driving the socio-technical transitions required to meet their climate neutrality targets by leveraging urban planning and design. Through the lenses of justice and resilience, we have been working with 11 cities and more than 20 tool providers to create pathways towards climate action that leaves no one behind.

The Management Area for Mobility, Infrastructure, and Urban Services of Barcelona City Council is responsible for implementing and coordinating key climate-related areas, including energy, mobility, waste, water, green infrastructure, and climate risk adaptation, especially heat. It also leads the climate culture, education, and engagement programs. Furthermore, they play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of the city’s Climate Plan, ensuring climate action is integrated across municipal policies to build a fairer, more resilient, and sustainable city.
